Wolff grew wheat, grapes, apples, srawberries, raspberries, blackberries, rhubarb, pumpkin, corn etc., and also had a dairy herd. Originally named Rattlesnake Ranch, it was established on 160 acres on the east side of Broadway between Alpine and Forest Avenues in 1864.
